Brian Christopher Kruel, 38, Shawnee, KS, died Monday, January 23, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 26, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO, 64052. Visitation will be 68:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions for Brian's sons may be made to "Edward Jones-For Riley and Ryan Kruel Custodial Care Fund" c/o Edward Jones, 17911 E. 24 Hwy, Independence, MO 64056.

Brian was born on March 1, 1967, to Larry and Linda Kruel. He had lived in the Kansas City area for his entire life and had been employed as a painter for the last 14 years with A.T. Switzer. He loved spending time with his sons and treasured the moments when they were together. He enjoyed sports, particularly Nascar racing, and was passionate about his work.

Brian is survived by his two sons, Riley, and Ryan, both of Lenexa, KS; his mother, Linda Kruel, Grain Valley, MO; his father, Larry Kruel and wife Carol, Independence, MO; his sister Andrea Cochran, Independence, MO; his grandmother, Nadine Kruel, Warsaw, MO; step-sister Amy Vance; his former wife, Tracey Kruel, Lenexa KS; and many other loving relatives and friends.
