Hobbies, interests, travels: My primary interest for the past year has been surviving stage 2 breast cancer.  I was diagnosed in September 2007, and am coming up on my one year anniversary.  I have continued to work full time as a property claims specialist and assistant vice president in an international reinsurance corporaton.  I have also remained busy with my children's schedules.

My primary hobbies are reading and traveling.  I love the ocean and collecting seashells.  I also love New York City, and travel there as often as possible.  Hawaii is my second favorite place.  I love history as well.

Message: Remember:  Mammograms beginning at 40;  sooner if you have a family history.  However, mammograms are not fail proof and often miss tumors in women under 50 due to tissue density.  Monthly self-exams are even more important.  Early detection saves lives, but still isn't a cure.  Help us find a cure by becoming informed and active in raising funds for the cure.
