We’ll plan a big event again for our 30th Reunion in 2015. So we have tentatively set aside a couple weekends to consider. Keep your calendars open in 2015 for July 24, 25 and 26 and July 31, August 1 and 2 (Friday-Sunday) and we’ll finalize a date as we get closer. Check back here and the Facebook page for more details.
25-Year Reunion / Get-Together
About 100 classmates, spouses, guests and friends enjoyed a casual evening at Side Pockets in Lee’s Summit on Saturday, August 7, 2010. It was especially good to see a lot of classmates who hadn’t made it to a reunion in the past. We hope to see each of you — and more — again in 2015!
Here are some photos from that event:
20-Year Reunion: A Good Time Was Had By All
WOW! What a great weekend (July 22 and 23, 2005) of activities. And the photos prove it. Thanks to all who came out to join in the fun. And for those who couldn’t make it, we hope you can next time.
On Friday, we prepared for 70-80 classmates and friends to get reacquainted at the Fox and Hound in Independence. 150+ guests later we were all talking, carrying-on and lying like the good ol’ days.
A few hours later a few classmates got together for a Saturday morning golf outing at Winterstone in Independence. Kurt Zorich fittingly shot an 85 to honor the Class of ’85 while the heat index rose to 105.
It all culminated Saturday night as 130+ classmates and guests enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Hilton Garden Inn. Awards, jokes, stories, a slideshow, dancing and fond memories were shared amongst old – and new – friends.

Wendy Sue So true Darrin. Through all these years I would still mention his slap dance in the Jr. High talent show from time to time. He's one of those people you never forget. And never want to... he had a way of making people around him feel loved.

Wendy Sue How sad that such a wonderful person is gone. And also makes me sad that I never knew he had so many talents. The boat that he built is legendary. I always wondered why it took so long to finish that boat. Mystery solved. What an amazing Man..

Sheri Harden Thank you for sharing, Darrin. I never had Mr Waters as a teacher, but I remember him as being well liked and respected. He always had a friendly word whenever I would pass him in the halls. I remember seeing that boat. I'm glad he was one of the fortunate people who got to do what he really wanted in life. A loss to several communities. Prayers for both families.

It wasn't unanimous, but the postings, messages and emails point to August 7 being the best date. We'll party that Saturday at Sidepockets in Lee's Summit. More details to follow.
Darrin Widick
The reunion committee would like to have an informal get-together at Sidepockets in Lee's Summit for our 25th, then a big one again on our 30th. I should have posted this much, much sooner. My apologies. What Saturday looks good for everybody: July 24, July 31 or August 7?
Susan Eischen Zimmermann July 24 is best for me, 31st is ok, 7th we'll be out of town.
June 1, 2010 at 2:25 am
Darren McClain We are to be back in town for our yearly visit the 1st week of August, so the 7th would be cool.
